Hello
Very little bird-wise reported in the county today and the cool air continues with perhaps a small increase in temperature at the week-end.
The Glossy Ibis remained at Summer Leys LNR today and there were sightings of a Bittern in flight over the scrape. A Bittern and two Hobbies were the best birds on show at the Titchmarsh reserve at Thrapston Pits today.
A reconnoitre at Clifford Hill Pits this morning provided three Dunlin, three Ringed Plovers, two Common Sandpipers and two Little Ringed Plovers.
A nest box at Rectory Farm, Old contains 'chirruping' Tree Sparrow nestlings.
Regards
Neil M
